Mild Steel (MS) Casing Pipes

The structural backbone of deep borewell engineering. High-grade mild steel casing pipes designed to withstand extreme compressive soil pressure in rocky and shifting geology.

Key Specifications

Grade
IS 3589 / API 5L
Thickness
Light / Medium / Heavy Duty
Joining
Welded / Threaded
Diameter Range
100mm to 400mm

Mild steel casing pipes form the permanent structural liner of a borewell — they hold back loose soil and rock formations, prevent borehole collapse, and provide the housing within which the submersible pump assembly is suspended. For deep borewells exceeding 150m in hard rock or for any installation in loose alluvial geology, MS casing is non-negotiable.

Why MS Over UPVC Casing

UPVC casing is excellent for soft formations at moderate depths. But in Ahmedabad's deeper hard rock zones and in basaltic formations found across parts of Gujarat, the compressive soil loads and drilling torque during installation can crush or split UPVC casing. MS steel handles these forces categorically.

Tata and Jindal: The Grade Difference

We supply Tata and Jindal branded MS casing in grades conforming to IS 3589 (for water well casing) and selectively API 5L (for demanding geological conditions). Both brands offer consistent wall thickness and certified chemistry — critical when welding section joints at depth.
